🔒 How to Get Verified
Earning your badge is easy and helps us keep the Rush Lanka platform safe and respectful.
Here’s how to do it:
- Complete your listing with clear photos, service info, and location
- Verify your identity (you’ll upload a valid ID or business document)
- Check in with your Rush Lokka – this can be in person or a short video call
- Pass a basic quality & safety check
- Get your badge! It will appear on your listing and profile
Note: Most listings are verified within 2–3 days after submission.

- What documents do I need?
All listings must first be submitted using the Host Interest Form. This helps us gather accurate information before verification.
👥 For In-Person Services
If you’re offering services where you personally meet or guide travelers — such as:
Travel Mate (guides or transport help)
Capture Mate (photography or videography)
Any one-on-one or group experience
You must provide:
A clear copy of your National ID (NIC) or valid government-issued ID
A recent police report for basic background screening
One of the following to confirm your address:
A utility bill or lease document in your name
OR a letter from your Grama Sevaka confirming your residence
🏠 For Stays and Other Property-Based Listings
If you’re listing a room, home, or space:
Your assigned Rush Lokka will visit the location to check:
Accuracy of your listing
Basic safety and cleanliness
That the location matches your submitted details
No police report is needed for stays, unless you’re also providing in-person guiding or service.

- Yes, your Rush Lanka Verified badge can be removed if your listing or service no longer meets our trust and quality standards. We’re here to build a safe, reliable platform for both travelers and hosts — so consistency matters.

🚫 Misleading Information
Listing details (photos, prices, availability) are false or outdated
You misrepresent your service or experience to guests
🚫 Poor Guest Feedback
Multiple complaints from travelers about safety, cleanliness, or communication
Disrespectful, discriminatory, or unprofessional behavior
🚫 Host Inactivity
You stop responding to inquiries or disappear from the platform
Your listing stays inactive or unbooked for long periods
🚫 Violation of Rush Lanka Policies
Breaking platform rules, terms, or guidelines
Hosting without appropriate documents (for in-person services)
🛡️ Can I get it back?
Yes! If your badge is removed, you’ll receive an email explaining why. You may be able to fix the issue (e.g. update your listing, complete re-verification) and apply again.
Our goal isn’t to punish — it’s to help you offer the best possible experience to guests.
- Do all listings need to be verified?
- No — but verification makes a big difference, especially for travelers.
You can list your service through the Host Interest Form, and we’ll guide you from there. However, being verified helps you stand out and get booked faster.
