At Rush Lanka, we’re committed to creating a trusted community where travellers and local hosts can connect with confidence.
This Cancellation & Refund Policy outlines how booking changes, cancellations, and refunds are handled to ensure fairness for both guests and hosts.
By booking or listing on Rush Lanka, you agree to the terms outlined below.
🧳 For Guests (Travellers)
We understand that travel plans can change. Our goal is to offer flexibility while respecting the time, effort, and preparation of local hosts.
Guest Cancellations
- 100% refund if cancelled 14 or more days before the arrival date.
- 50% refund if cancelled 7–13 days before the arrival date.
- No refund for cancellations made within 7 days of arrival.
- Rush Lanka service fees are non-refundable, except in cases of host-related issues or system errors.
Please also review the host’s individual cancellation policy displayed on each listing, as some hosts may have stricter conditions.
Special Circumstances
If your trip is affected by an emergency or unavoidable event (e.g. serious illness, natural disasters, or government travel bans), please contact us. Each case will be reviewed individually, and we’ll do our best to assist you fairly.
Refund Process
Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days, depending on your payment method.
Rush Lanka service fees are non-refundable unless the cancellation is due to a technical or host-related error.
🏡 For Hosts
We value the commitment of our hosts and understand that unexpected circumstances can occur. However, cancelling confirmed bookings can impact guest trust and overall platform reliability.
Host Cancellations
- Hosts should only cancel bookings when absolutely necessary.
- Frequent or last-minute cancellations may result in reduced listing visibility, temporary suspension, or warnings from Rush Lanka.
- If cancellation is unavoidable (e.g. property damage, illness, or emergency), hosts must notify both Rush Lanka and the guest immediately to allow time for rebooking or alternative arrangements.
Refunds to Guests
- When a host cancels a confirmed booking, the guest will receive a full refund, including Rush Lanka service fees.
- Hosts will not receive payment for cancelled stays unless approved under exceptional circumstances after review.
🤝 Disputes & Mediation
If a disagreement arises between a guest and a host regarding cancellations or refunds, Rush Lanka may mediate to reach a fair outcome.
We will review communication records, timelines, and any supporting evidence before making a final decision.
Our goal is always to resolve matters fairly, respectfully, and transparently.
